The length of a rectangular board is 4 times that of its breadth. If the area of the board is 256 sq. meters, find its length.

Solution:

(4) Let breadth = x and length = 4x
Area = l × b = 4x × x

x^2 =

256/4

= 64
x = 8
Length = 4x = 4×8= 32 m
