Solution:

(2) Let the cost price of bag = x
∴ marked price = 150% of x

={150x}/100={3x}/2

∴ S.P. = 80% of{3x}/2

=80/100×{3x}/2{6x}/5

∴From question,

{6x}/5

= ₹840

∴x =₹{840 ×5}/6=₹ 700
