Solution:

(2) Area of floor of room

= 8m × 12m = 96 m^2

∴breadth of carpet
= 75 cm =

∴ No. of carpets to be used
=

{96m^2}/{75/100}

m=96/75×100m

= 128 m
∴Cost =₹ 20/m ×128m
= ₹2560
