A dog is passed by a train in 8 seconds. Find the length of the train if its speed is 36 km/ hr.

Solution:

(3) Speed of the train
= 36 km/h

= 36×5/18 m/s = 10 m/s

time = 8 seconds
So, length of train
= Speed × time
= 10m/s × 8 seconds = 80m
