A certain number of men complete a piece of work in 60 days. If there were 8 men more, the work can be finished in 10 days less. The number of men originally is :

days

M_2=(x+8),D_2=50

days
Now,

M_1D_1=M_2D_2

⇒x×60=(x+8)×50

⇒60x=50x+400

⇒10x=400

∴ x = 40

∴ The number of men originally is = 40.
