PQR is a right angled triangle in which ∠R = 90°. If RS⊥ PQ, PR = 3 cm and RQ = 4 cm, then what is the value of RS (in cm)?

Solution:

∴ PR = 3 cm and RQ = 4 cm then,

PQ=√{(3)^2+(4)^2}

=√{9+16}=5 cm

Now,

1/2×3×4=1/2×5×RS

6={5RS}/2

∴RS=12/5 cm
