Solution:

(a) Net discount for 20% and 15

=(20+15-{20×15}/100)%=32%

Net discount for 32% and 10%

=(32+10-{32×10}/100)=38.8%

(b) Net discount for 25% and 12%

=(25+12-{25×12}/100)=34%

Net discount for 34% and 8%

=(34+8-{34×8}/100)%=42-2.72=39.28%
