Solution:

(1) C.I. = P

[(1+R/100)^t-1]

31 = ₹ P

[(1+R/100)^1-1]

31 = ₹

[(P+{PR}/100-P)]

PR = ₹ 3100 .......(1)
S.I =

{P ×R× T}/100

{3100× 1}/100

S.I. = ₹ 31
Therefore, Simple interest remains the same.
