(1) In a rainbow, red colour is on the outer part and violet is on the inner side. Rainbows are caused by the refraction phenomena. The colours of the rainbow are perceived as a set of hues arranged in a specific order of seven colours viz. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
