Find the area of a triangle whose sides are in ratio 3:4:5 and perimeter is 48cm.

Solution:

(2) Let the sides of a triangle be 3x, 4x and 5x .
Perimeter of triangle = 3x + 4x + 5x = 48 ⇒ X = 4
Semi-perimeter of triangle =

48/2

= 24cm
