As per Whittaker’s classification, bacteria is not a Kingdom name.

• Five kingdom classification was proposed by R.H.Whittaker.
• They are: Monera, Protista, Fungi, Animalia and Plantae

Plantae:

• This kingdom includes all plants except algae, diatoms, fungi, and members of monera and Protista.
• They are multicellular Eukaryotes that have a cell wall and perform photosynthesis.
• They are the autotrophs and contain photosynthetic pigments called chlorophyll in the plastids.

Monera:

• It includes all prokaryotic organisms like bacteria, cyanobacteria, and archaebacteria.
• All organisms of this kingdom are microscopic.

Protists :

• This kingdom includes unicellular form usually found in aquatic habits.
• They are autotrophic, parasitic, and saprophytic.
• Diatoms flagellates and protozoa come under this kingdom.

Fungi:

• This kingdom includes non-green plants.
• It has saprophytic nutrition and growing on dead and decaying organic matter.
• Examples include Mushroom, Mucor, etc.

Animalia

• These include all organisms which are multicellular eukaryotes without cell walls.
• They are heterotrophs.
