₹ 355 have been divided among A, B and C in such a way that A had ₹ 20 more than B and C had ₹ 15 more than A. How much was C’s share?

Solution:

(3) Let the share of B be x.

∴

Share of

{A}= {x}+20

and share of

C=x+35

Now,

x+20+x+x+35=355

⇒ 3 x=300 ⇒ x=100

∴

Share of

C=x+35=₹ 135
