Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology is one of the chief multidisciplinary science awards in India. It was introduced in 1958 by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in honour of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, who was the founder of this award and he was the director and recognised excellence in scientific research in India.
