Let height of the equilateral triangle = Diagonal of the square = h cm. Side of the equilateral triangle ABC with height AD = λ

=√{(AB)^2-({AB}/2)^2}=√{3/4(AB)^2}

AB={2h}/√3

For a square of diagnol h, the side length =

h/√2

Ratio of Area of triangle to the square

={√3/4(AB)^2}/{(h/√2)^2}={√3/4×({2h}/√3)^2}/{h^2/2}=2: √3
