Fa-Hien was the famous Chinese pilgrim and a Buddhist devotee, who visited India during the rule of Chandragupta II, i.e.,Chandragupta Vikramaditya. Fa-Hien started from China in 399 AD,and travelling all the way through the deserts, reached Peshawar. He returned to his homeland China in 414 AD.
