Consider the following question and statements and decide which of the statements is sufficient to answer the question. What is the total weight of 10 cartons o f Mangoes? Each of them weigh equal.

2. Total weight of 6 boxes is 72 kg more than the total weight of 4 boxes

Statements 1 and 2 are not sufficient
Statements 1 alone is sufficient

Validate

Solution:

For (1) Weight of 1 Box

=12 × 3=36 {kg}

So, total weight

=36 × 10=360 {kg}

or
For (2) Weight of one box

=\;{72}/{6}=12

Weight of 4 boxes

=12 × 4=48

So, either of the statement 1 or 2 is sufficient.
