Solution:

Five years ago,
Son's age

Mother's age

=3 x

Then present age of son

mother be

x+5

and

3 x+5

years.
ATQ

x+5+3 x+5=70

4 x+10=70

4 x=60, x=15

\∴

Mother's present age

=3 \×15+5=50 {\yrs}
