What is the reflex angle (in degrees) between the hands of a clock at 3 : 30 ?

Solution:

3 hours 30 min=

3 {30}/{60}=7/2

hours
Angle made by hour hand in 12 hours= 360°
∴

{360°}/{12}×7/2=105°

Angle made by minute hand in 60 min= 360°
∴Angle made by minute hand in 30 min

={360°}/{60}×3=180°

Angle between hour hand and minute hand= 180- 105= 75°
This, reflex angle= 360- 75= 285°
