Remaining

=1-{5}/{12}={7}/{12}

={1}/{4}+{1}/{6}-{1}/{8}={6+4-3}/{24}

={7}/{24}

Thus, time taken to fill remaining tank

={7}/{12} ÷{{7}/{24}}={7}/{12}×{24}/{7}=2
