Solution:

(b) Total time taken by A = 15 days
Total time taken by B =

{10×5}/ 2

= 25 days
∴ (A + B)’s 1 day’s work
=

1/15+1/25

{5+3}/75=8/75

∴ the work will be completed in

75/8=9 3/8

days.
