Solution:

Part of the tank filled by bothtaps in 5 minutes
= 5

(1/{30}+1/{60})

= 5

({2+1}/{60})

= 5 ×

3/{60}

1/4

Remaining Part = 1− ¼ = ¾
that is filled by second tap
∴ Time taken = 3/4 × 60 = 45 min
