(5) The Union Cabinet, on 13July 2016, approved thePradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana (PMKVY) with anoutlay of Rs.12000 crores toimpart skilling to one crorepeople over the next four years(2016-2020). PMKVY will impartfresh training to 60 lakhyouths and certify skills of 40lakh persons acquired nonformallyunder the Recognitionof Prior Learning (RPL).
