(5) The Bhimbetka rock sheltersislocated inside the RatapaniWildlife Sanctuary in theRaisen District of MadhyaPradesh. These rock shelters arean archaeological site of thePaleolithic, exhibiting the earliesttraces of human life onthe Indian Subcontinent, andthus the beginning of the IndianStone Age. They were declareda World Heritage Site in 2003.
