Barmer-Sanchore basin in Rajasthan related to Oil and Natural Gas exploration.
It is of tertiary age and covered Barmer and part of Jalore district of Rajasthan.
A total of about 4.2 billion barrels of crude oil i.e. 500 MMT (Million Metric Tonnes) in-place reserves were assessed in 38 discovered fields of Barmer-Sanchore Basin.
