Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act makes it mandatory for every employer having more than 10 employees to have an internal complaints committee.
Also, the District officer has to constitute a local complaints committee, to take complaints from those offices which have less than 10 employees and due to that reason those offices do not have an internal complaints committee.
Also, the district officer shall nominate one officer from each Tehsil, Taluka, ward, tribal area to receive the local complaints and he has to forward the same to district local committee within 7 days.
