Section 376D of Indian penal code 1860 provides for offence of gang rape.
According to which if one or more persons commits rape on the woman. All persons present at place irrespective of their individual act will be liable for punishment of gang rape.
Punishment: rigorous imprisonment for minimum 20 years which may go up to imprisonment for life and fine.
This section was added after the Criminal Law Amendment in 2013.
