Jaisalmer town, nicknamed "The Golden city", is a city of Rajasthan, located 575 kilometers (357 mi) west of the state capital Jaipur. It is a World Heritage Site.
The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone and is crowned by the ancient Jaisalmer Fort.
The fort & town of JAISALMER was founded by Maharawal Jaisal in the year 1156 AD after having shifted his capital from Ludharva (18 km away from Jaisalmer) to a safer place.
Jhalawar-
The city of Jhalawar (once known as Brijnagar) was founded by Jhala Zalim Singh (First), who was the then Dewan of Kota state (1791 A.D.).
He established this township, then known as Chaoni Umedpura, as a cantonment.
Jhunjhunu-
The district falls within the Shekhawati region and is bounded on the northeast and east by Haryana state, on the southeast, south, and southwest by Sikar District, and on the northwest and north by Churu District.
It is located 180 km away from Jaipur, The town is famous for the frescos on its grand Havelis special artistic feature of this region.
Bundi-
The south-east region of Rajasthan is known as Hadoti, the land of the Hadas.
Hada Rajputs are a major branch of the Chauhan Agnikula (fire dynasty) Rajputs.
Bundi was conquered in 1241 by Rao Deva Singh from the Meena tribe.
This was the first step in the establishment of Hadaoti when the Hadas moved down from the ‘Pathar’ around Bambara.
Bundi takes its name from the Bando Naal or the narrow passage, between the rugged hills.
