Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 terms anyone below 14 years as a child and completely prohibits his her employment inany kind of work. However certain kinds of works are allowed for the child:- 1. Helping in his family-run business which is non-hazardous in nature. 2. Works as an artist in the audio-visual entertainment industry, including the advertisement, films, television serials or any such otherentertainment or sports activities except the circus. The family-run business includes those businesses which are run by his/her father, mother, brother, sister, father's brother/sister or mother's brother/sister.
