India ranked a lowly 112, which is a four-places slip compared to last year's ranking.
The ranking is majorly based on the gender gap and gender-based disparity in economic and health grounds.
Geneva-based WEF(World Economic form) said this year's overall improvement can largely be ascribed to a significant increase in the number of women in politics.
