Bikaner-Rao Bika, the fifth son of Rao Jodha, laid the foundation of Bikaner to Akshaya Tritiya / Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya in 1488 AD with the blessings of Karanimata.
Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated on Bikaner Day.
It took 23 years to establish Bikaner i.e. Rao Bika started the work of establishing Bikaner from 1465 AD.
Ravbika is believed to be the founder of the Rathore dynasty of Bikaner.
The accession to the Indian Union was signed by the Maharaja on 7 August 1947.
