A well with 7m inside diameter is dug 22.5 m deep. Earth taken out of it is spread all around to a width of 10.5 m to form an embankment. Find the height of the embankment.
(Use π = 22/7)

Here,

π[(10.5+3.5)^2-(3.5)^2]h

π(3.5)^2×22.5

⇒ (196 – 12.25)h = 12.25 × 22.5
∴ h =

{12.25×22.5}/{183.75}

= 1.5 m
