The number of killing shots by A $=\frac{1}{3}\times \frac{5}{8}\mathit{x}=\frac{5}{24}\mathit{x}$
Now, $\frac{3}{16}\mathit{x}=27$
$\therefore \mathit{x}=144$
Then, $\frac{5}{24}\mathit{x}=\frac{5}{24}\times 144=30$
Hence, A has killed 30 birds.
