Rajat invested Rs 84 at a certain rate of interest which amounted to Rs 102 in 3 years. If he again invested Rs 96 with same rate of interest, what amount will he receive after 5 years?

Validate

Solution:

P = Rs 84, A = Rs 102, Then SI = Rs (102 - 84) = Rs 18, T = 3 years

∴\Rate ={100×SI}/{P×T}

={100×18}/{84×3}=100/4%

Now, P = Rs 96,

R = 100/14

% , T = 5

∴SI={P×R×T}/100

=96×100/14×5×1/100

= Rs 34.28
Hence, amount = Rs (34. 28 + 96) = Rs 130.28
