∴ n(L) = 100, n(C) = 40, n(L ∩ C) = 20
We have to find n(L ∪ C)
Using n(L ∩ C) = n(L) + n(C) - n(L ∩ C)
⇒ n(L ∪ C) = 100 + 40 - 20 = 120
