Solution:

Let amount of A and B be Rs. x and Rs. y respectively.
Then,

4/15x=2/5 y

∴x = 3/2 y

Now,

x + y = 1210

⇒3/2y + y = 1210

⇒5/2y=1210

∴ y = {1210 ×2}/5 = \Rs. 484

Hence, amount of B = Rs. 484
