Solution:

Alcohol in 36 litres of mixture = 25% of 36 litres = 9 litres
Quantity of water in the mixture = (39 - 6) litres = 27 litres
New quantity of mixture = (36 + 5) litres

Percentage of alcohol in the new mixture

=9/41×100%= 21 39/41%
