After a long discussion, Madhu manages to get the discount of 6% on the actual sale price and she paid she shopkeeper Rs 24,111 with the bill. Besides, she also manages to avoid 10% tax on the already discounted price. What is the amount of discount she has got?

Solution:

CP = 100 then SP =

100+[10/100×100]

= Rs 110 [Including tax]
SP after 6% discount = Rs 94
So, discount per cent = 110 - 94 = 16%
So, SP is 94 when discount = Rs 16
SP is Rs 24,111 when discount

= 16/94 × 24,111

= Rs 4,104
