Solution:

Let C.P. of 150 quintal wheat = Rs 100; then
S.P. of 150 quintal wheat = Rs. 110;
Again, S.P. of one-fourth =

90/100 × 25

= Rs. 22.50
Then S.P. of three-fourth = 110 – 22.50 = Rs. 87.50
C.P. of three-fourth = Rs. 75
Hence, required gain%

={87.50-75}/75×100=16 2/3%
