Find the profit per cent of a vegetable seller who professes to sell goods by using false weight of 420 g instead of 500 g.

Validate

Solution:

Let CP of 1 g vegetables = Re 1
So if a customer buy, 500 g goods, then its selling price = Rs 500
But the vegetable seller sell goods worth Rs 420 only by using false weight.
So CP = Rs 420 and SP = Rs 500
Profit per cent =

{500-420}/420 ×100=19 1/21%
