There are some boys and cows at a place. If total number of heads is 15 and the total number of legs is 46, then what is the total number of boyes and cows in that place?

Validate

Solution:

Let number of boys = x
Number of cows = 15 - x
Number of legs of boys = 2x
Number of legs of cows = 4 (15 - x)
Total number of legs = 46

2x+4(15-x)=46

2x+60-4x=46

-2x=46-60

x=14/2

x = 7

Number of boys = 7
Number of cows = 8
