The bus fare between Raipur and Mirpur for one adult is six times more then the fare for one child. If an adult’s bus fare is Rs 114, how much amount will be paid by 4 adults and 5 children together for travelling the same distance?

Validate

Solution:

Let the bus fare for one child = x
Bus fare for an adult = 6x
An adult’s bus fare = 114
So,

6x= 114

x=114/6=19

Total amount for 4 adults and 5 children

=114×4+5×19=456+95

=\Rs. 551
