Out of 3,500 people, only 50% of the people have the habit of collecting stamps. If 40% people collect stamps on Gandhiji, 42% people on female leaders and the rest collect general stamps. Find the number of people who collect general stamps.

Solution:

Number of people collecting stamps

= {50×3,500}/100=1,750

∴ Number of people collecting general stamps = (100 - 82) % of 1,750

=18/100×1,750=315
