Let his initial income = Rs. 100, then,
Expenditure = Rs. 75 and Savings = Rs. 25
Now his increased income = Rs. 120, then
Expenditure

= 75 ×110/100

= Rs. 82.5; Savings = 120 – 82.5 = Rs. 37.5
Then, increased percentage of savings

={37.5 -25}/25×100 = 50%
