A teacher conducted an examination in her class. Sony got 122 marks which is 42 more than the passing marks. On the other hand, Roni got 82% mark which are 84 more than the passing marks. What is the maximum passing percentage of the test?

Validate

Solution:

Passing marks of the test = 122 - 42 = 80
Let the total marks be x.
∴ 82% of x = 80 + 84

82/100x=164

x=164×100/82=200

∴ Pass percentage

=80/200×100%=40%
