Yusuf scored an average of 75% marks in the five subjects Art and Craft, Yoga, Music, English and Mathematics. The maximum marks of each subject was 112. How many marks did he score in Yoga, if he scored 80 in English and 96 in Mathematics?

Solution:

Total maximum marks = 560
Marks scored in four subjects = 80 + 94 + 90 + 96 = 360
Total marks scored in the five subjects = 75% of 560

=75/100× 560 =420

∴ Marks scored in Yoga = 420 - 360 = 60
