Raghav, Mohit and I invested in a business in the ratio of 3 : 2 : 5. At the end of 3 years, we had a loss of Rs 35,000. How much loss did I suffer?

Solution:

Ratio of the investments = (3 × 36) : (2 × 36) : (5 × 36)
= 108 : 72 : 180 = 3 : 2 : 5
∴ My loss = Rs

5/10× 35,000

= Rs 17,500
