Solution:

Ratio of investments of A, B and C
= (2,300 × 6) : (2,400 × 8) : (2,800 × 8)
= 13,800 : 19,200 : 22,400
= 69 : 96 : 112
∴ Share of A and B

={69+96}/{69+96+112}×5000

= Rs 2,978 approximately.
