Kiran and Vandana opened a cosmetics shop in Panchkula. Kiran invested Rs 5,500 for 8 months and Vandana invested Rs 7,600 for 10 months, how much percentage profit more did Vandana earn than Kiran out of the total profit of Rs 37,500?

Ratio of their investment = (5,500 × 8) : (7,600 × 10) = 44,000 : 76,000 = 11 : 19
∴ Kiran’s share = Rs

11/30× 37,500

= Rs 13,750
Vandana’s share =

19/30× 37,500

= Rs 23,750
Vandana earn more profit than Kiran out of the total profit of Rs 37,500
