Solution:

Suppose Dinesh invested Rs x for y months.
Then, Sudhakar invested Rs 2x for 4y months.
So, Sudhakar : Dinesh = (2x × 4y) : (2x × y) = 8xy : xy = 8 : 1
Let the total profit be Rs z
Then

1/9×z=5000

z = 45,000
