The length of the rubber band in cm, if it is stretched as shown is:

Solution:

ABCDEF is a regular hexagon whose side is equal to diameter, i.e., 10 cm.
So, AF + BC + CD = 10 + 10 + 10 = 30
and Arc (AB + CF + DC) =

× 3 × π × r
= 2 × π × 5
= 10π
So, length of the rubber band = 30 + 10 π
